As members, we not only set the high standards of quality and ethics for all animal welfare administrators; we have the following objectives:

• To promote the sharing of information among and within animal welfare and control agencies.
• To enhance the positive and professional image of animal welfare and control agencies
• To provide education opportunities for our members.

SAWA's mission is the promotion of humane ideals and a professional approach to management of private or governmental animal welfare and control agencies.

Membership Levels and Fees (beginning January 1, 2008)

Executive Level ($200) - Chief executive of an agency that operates an animal shelter or enforces animal regulations

Manager Level ($175) - All other managers of agencies that operate an animal shelter or enforce animal regulations, or board members or commissioners of such an agency.

Associate Level ($175) - All other parties interested in the field of animal welfare and control, excluding for-profit businesses.

Business Level ($225) - For-profit businesses with an interest in the field of animal welfare and control.

All members receive the SAWA Network News, a quarterly newsletter.
